To inspire and be inspired. Charlie wanted to feature wonderlusters doing things that others don't consider doing. To show people curious for adventure that anything is possible if you point your compass and follow it. It's a big world with a lot of culture to get lost in so get lost in the winding roads.
Charlie is a Writer, Photographer, and 2 wheeled thrill seeker.
WRITER AND STUNT MOTORCYCLIST
A love for motorcycles and a thirst for adventure are truly in Megan Margeson's DNA. Having grown up in a household where "family bonding" meant dirt bike riding and going for rides on her parents' choppers, it only makes sense that Megan would grow to share a passion for life on two-wheels. She and her parents ride thousands of miles together every year, all three on old-school choppers built by her father. "You learn to go with the flow on motorcycle trips, especially when you're riding old bikes. The mechanical issues, unpredictable weather, and route adjustments just add to the adventure. The fact that I get to share these experiences with my parents makes it that much more special." Megan is a marketing associate, writer, and professional stunt motorcyclist.
THE UNKNOWN TRAVELER
A MAN OF MYSTERY
The unknown traveler is so mysterious, all we know is that some say at breakfast they saw him eating street meat in Bangkok and by dinner he was having cocktails in Times Square.
Louise works seasonally as a safety officer in Dutch Harbor, Alaska. When she is not on seafaring jaunts in the Aleutians, she can be found rambling the US in her pickup truck or motorcycle. Louise believes that the quickest road to happiness is found by relentlessly pursuing the experiences that take up the most space in our daydream, and she is constantly in pursuit of the next great adventure.
OUTDOOR ENTHUSIAST AND TRAVELER
The outdoors has always been a passion for Dustin, from hunting and fishing with his family as a kid, to hiking 14ers, backcountry skiing, mountain biking, and camping in the Rocky Mountains. In recent years, he’s made traveling and being outdoors more of a priority. Really, the first priority. About 3 years ago Dustin left his 15 year career, sold his house and most of his belongings, and hit the road on his adventure bike. After 2 years living on a motorcycle and sleeping mostly in a tent, he’s working on creating a sustainable lifestyle to keep travel, adventure, and the great outdoors a top priority.
I am just your average midwestern girl, a bartender turned soldier turned house-roofer turned college student turned SCUBA instructor turned traveler turned Graduate student turned married w/ an amazing son turned forever an adventurer. I have a penchant for saying "yes" to opportunities and that has led me to have some wild stories that will fill many hours at a party and hopefully add some laughter to your life!
TRAVELER WITH PURPOSE
I've been in love with photography and seeing the world since I was a kid on my grandparent's farm in Longmont Colorado. My grandmother let me play with her Polaroid camera and my love affair was instant. I have no formal training in photography minus a high school and college darkroom class. I've just had a passion to learn and keep learning. I have a degree in English from Lehigh University. It wasn't until after college and a 36 day trip to Europe that ignited my love affair with traveling the world. With that came my love affair with capturing the moments and sharing the lives of those I met along the way. Sharing those moments was, and still is, magical to me. I've always followed my passions, even when I had to keep other jobs that would support my love of travel and photography. Travel has changed my life and opened the world in a way that is both familiar and new. It has taught me patience, acceptance, and to live my life openhearted and non-judgmental. It has taught me to respect others and helped me realize deep gratitude toward all things living and dying. I have always pursued journies that feed my soul, challenge me mentally and physically, lift my spirit, connect me with the world and those in it. Travel and photography have taught me to live with purpose, travel with purpose, love with purpose, and love unconditionally. I hope, through my stories and photographs that it will ignite curiosity and fire in you to love yourself, the world, and those in it with the same passion and respect.
ITALIAN MOUNTAIN SEEKER
My luck is to live only one hour from the Alps, my favorite place is The Dolomites, it is my paradise, my soul, my heart and my dreams. Alone or with friends I love to walk hard, admire, breathe deeply, feel my body regenerating and filling up with energy. Every trekking adventure and exploration you are surprised by the beauty of nature. It is knowing yourself more and more, learning, never giving up, and reaching the top or personal goal ... step by step. Everything is possible with training and believing it, one of my last goals is to climb. Climbing allows me to get into the most hidden corners and feel the thrill of vertigo, for me it's a great achievement because up to three years ago vertigo paralyzed me and I couldn't even walk in an exposed path. My dream is to trek the world, my last one was in Marocco. The Atlantic Ocean Trek is the way for who want to lose themselves in the wilderness, nature, ocean, dunes, free camping, without shower or comfort zone.I’m a Fashion designer but if I could I would be salaried to go trekking all over the world as a backpacker taking on more than 30 km every day.
“No one brushes my hair as well as the wind” ~Alda Merini
I love being in nature whether that be hiking, kayaking, camping, riding my motorcycle or loading up the Jeep and getting lost. In recent years I have been drawn to and focus more on finding remote unknown gems in the mountains and valleys of the Pacific Northwest. I use my free time exploring with my constant companion, Thornton while practicing bushcraft and survival. It’s hard for me to imagine something more nourishing than enjoying all the beauty nature has hidden in places that are off the beaten path, beyond the roads end.
“If you don’t know where you’re going, you’ll end up someplace else.”
The daughter of an Air Force veteran, I grew up moving every 1-5 years. This has caused me to get “itchy” if I don’t travel often or completely uplift my roots every few years. I’ve lived in eight states (Alaska is home), Turkey, and South Korea. I believe in traveling with the intent to learn or challenge myself, although I also enjoy the classic aimless wandering. Writing, reading, hiking, attempting to make people laugh, daydreaming, and people-watching calm me, while scuba diving, live sporting events, and watching K-dramas excite me. Talents including finding cool things in other people’s trash, and sweating while thinking about it. I currently live outside Seoul, South Korea with Alex and Nabi.
