It has been two short years since I decided to take my first long distance ride on my motorcycle. What started with a thought of “I’d like to try that one day” has turned into an obsession. Winter in the Midwest hits hard when you are not riding, and with my birthday at the end of the January…I just knew I had to fly south to ride. But of course, I took it twenty steps further than just a joy ride around California for the day. My goal: an Iron Butt Association 50CC Quest (coast to coast in under 50 hours).
