I was living in the office of my friend’s hotrod shop when Neale put out the invitation to join him on a trip to Africa. I didn’t know Neale real well, I had met him just a year ago at a mountain bike race in Flagstaff, AZ, while I was traveling and living off of my motorcycle. We had loosely kept in touch since, sharing interests such as travel, adventure riding, and mountain biking. I knew he lead motorcycle trips in Peru and South Africa, while helping orphaned children through his Wellspring International Outreach Foundation, and now he wanted to lead a new and different trip in Kenya. This really peaked my interest.
